This lecture featuring over forty television and cinema commercials tells the story of how three middle-aged men, frustrated by the unadventurous, lacklustre advertising still prevailing in Britain after the Second World War, formed the eponymous Collett Dickenson and Pearce and Partners agency in 1963.
Their master stroke was fourth partner Creative Director Colin Millward: now recognised as the genius who's uncompromising pursuit of excellence single-handedly transformed creative standards, setting an example that changed the face of British advertising and led it to become the best in the world.
